Birgitte Ibsen featured in “Small Town Big Art”

Carpinteria’s own 212-page “Small Town Big Art,” which features 100 Carpinteria artists, is now available for purchase. The book’s proceeds will go to the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center. The book’s 100 artists feature everyone from dancers to chefs, to poets and musicians.

The arts center will hold a book signing on Dec. 18 to celebrate the book’s release. Birgitte will be at the event to sign copies.

Cutting Edge Show - Carpinteria Arts Center

March 2020: The current exhibition features unconventional art by emerging and mid-career artists. Participating artists provide cutting-edge artistic perspectives to the Carpinteria Arts Center walls. The Charles Lo Bue Gallery is open Thursdays - Monday, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Tuesdays/Wednesdays.

Peak Summer Show - Carpinteria Arts Center

From June 19 to August 19, all mediums of artwork are displayed Charles Lo Bue Gallery of the Carpinteira Arts Center's Peak Summer show.

With multiple juried shows each year, we showcase a wide variety of styles and mediums, often centered around a particular theme or subject.

The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; we are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The Carpinteria Arts Center is proud to announce the 10th Annual Carpinteria & Summerland Artists Studio Tour, scheduled for May 7 & 8, 2016. We hope that you will want to be a part of this art-filled weekend as well as the accompanying Artists Group exhibit at the Arts Center featuring all the artists on this year's tour.
